Can'tola Oil

I gave you the reasons why Olive Oil kicks ass so I guess I should let you know why standard vegetable oils are HORRIBLE for you. Canola (rapeseed) is the most popular but this goes for pretty much all industrial seed oils (Corn, Soybean, Sunflower, Palm, Safflower). Everyone loves podcasts and I listen to my fair share on health, wellness, and longevity. The common thread that stays true through all of them on health are 3 things: 1. Fasting (always #1), 2. Either: Avoid Industrial Oils or Sauna, so if they are all in agreeance about avoiding seed oils, I think it is pretty important. Now I am not going to go into detail about the chemical process and science of creating these Frankenstein Oils. You didn't come to this incredible blog to read about boring nerd science stuff, you let me do it and then I write a nice short to the point entertaining read. So here are some of the top reasons to stop using them and try avoiding them when you are looking at ingredients at the grocery store.

Reasons

1, Omegas 6 to 3 ratio is high (not good)

2. Unstable, oxidize easily creates free radicals, extra electron, causes more free radicals, science blah blah, its bad

3. Inflammation

4. Ever popular brain fog

5. Aldehyde a by product after cooking, messes with DNA, plaques the brain

6. Insulin resistance

7. Endothelial dysfunction (remember from other blogs, it lines the blood vessels)

If not those popular oils then what? Obviously again use Extra Virgin Olive Oil generously on salads and pretty much everything. Other good oils especially for cooking are Avocado and Coconut. Cold or expeller pressed oils even the Frankenstein ones are better than a normal industrialized oils.
